The Artwork
The Ten Largest, No. 8, Adulthood by Hilma af Klint
The Blurb
"Hilma af Klint (Swedish, 1862 -1944) was a mystic disguised as a modernist, painting not from sight but from intuition, blending science, mysticism, and symbolism into something quietly radical. Here, pastel orbs and spiraling lines drift through lavender space like embryonic thoughts waiting to be named. Klint studied mathematics and botony, joined a group of mystic women called The Five, never married, and insisted 1,200 unseen works remain that way until decades after her death - She trusted the future would understand what the present could not."
