A physicist by training, he helped build the first X-ray machine for the U.S. military and once dined with Marie Curie - before pivoting to Fauvism-inflected florals. These zinnias aren’t posed; they hover in chromatic freefall, vibrating with wild energy. If flowers had auras, Saÿen painted them mid-flare."
