The Artwork
The First Flower of Spring by Ivar Arosenius
The Blurb
Ivar Arosenius (Swedish, 1878–1909) approached portraiture like a fairy tale with a hangover - tender, strange, and edged in melancholy. Here he paints his friend Ole Kruse not with grandeur, but with quiet reverence, as if lit from the inside out. Though often grouped with Symbolists and the Nordic wing of Art Nouveau, Arosenius defied easy classification. He lived like a storybook character - brilliant, fragile, and gone too soon.
The Poster
Printed on premium heavyweight matte paper, this art poster delivers rich detail, crisp lines, and a refined, gallery-worthy finish. The smooth, non-reflective surface enhances color depth while eliminating glare, making it ideal for both bright and softly lit spaces. Crafted on thick 200 gsm (80 lb) paper with a luxurious, uncoated feel, each print has a substantial presence that elevates any wall—whether styled solo or layered into a curated gallery wall. Produced using FSC-certified or equivalent sustainably sourced paper, this poster is designed to look beautiful while aligning with responsible production practices, making it a timeless addition to modern, vintage, or eclectic interiors.
