1930s Wooden Cover Guest Log with Rawhide Lacing + Brass Hinges | "Rules of This Tavern"

How has this survived almost 100 years?! 
Nearly antique guest log used in hotels and boarding houses. Original filled in pages are gone, but blank pages remain for your usage. Has rawhide laced binding and brass hinges. "Rules of This Tavern" pasted down paper adorns the front of the log. 

Measurements: 9" L x 6 1/2" W
